Sor Virakdara founded Ahladang with his intention to bring education empowerment to destitute students. ... He holds a bachelor degree in International Studies with Honor Program from the Institute of Foreign Languages in the Royal University of Phnom Penh. On the grounds that he has spent five years in teaching English, researches, and social work, he is a key player in Ahladang of which his management and leadership have been sustaining the on-going works including educational project, teaching English, article writing, fundraising, concept design, planning, and technical assistance for Ahladang. Most importantly, he acts as the motive power which creates Ahladang’s vision and drives it to the ultimate goal.
He is a co-founder of Ahladang, and his key responsibilities are to conceptualize and execute all of the programs.... Prior to this, he has been leading social and educational projects for over 5 years.In 2016, he was selected as a student representative of Cambodia to attend the 5th Rectors’ and Students’ Forum held at Charles University in Prague, the Czech Republic. Through intensive discussion in the forum, he participated in developing Policy Recommendation for Education Ministers’ Meeting 2017 in Korea. He completed a double undergraduate programme leading to a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from the Institute of Foreign Languages (IFL) of the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) and an engineer’s degree in Water Resource and Rural Infrastructure from the Institute of Technology of Cambodia, also known as Techno, where he took part in several exchange programs abroad. He received a scholarship from the U.S Department of State’s Bureau of Cultural and Educational Affairs to study for a semester at Florida Gulf Coast University, following his two exchange programs in Japan in 2012. Upon his return from the U.S, he worked as an ESL teacher at the Institute of Foreign Languages of Pannasastra University of Cambodia. He is now pursuing his Master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Tokyo Insitute of Technology, Japan through the scholarship of the government of Japan, “MEXT Scholarship”.

Graduated in 2014, Kosal holds a bachelor degree in International Studies from the Royal University of Phnom Penh, and an accounting diploma from CamEd Business School. Professionally, Kosal has two-year work experiences in both the private and public sectors. As a dynamic and idea-driven youth, Kosal was selected for the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Academic Fellowship 2016 to study social entrepreneurship and economic development at the University of Connecticut, USA. In addition to his leading role at Ahladang, Kosal is also a Chevening Scholar for the upcoming academic year. He is now pursuing his Master degree in Public Policy at the University of Warwick, United Kingdom.
Try Vitou is a co-founder and an enthusiastic technical manager of Ahladang. His main responsibilities are... to design, develop, and monitor the website and mobile application.Vitou obtained an engineer's degree specializing in Information Communication Engineering from the Institute of Technology of Cambodia in 2015. Prior to and following his graduation, he spent two years working on web development and mobile application related to the education sector for a local company. Currently, Vitou is a graduate student majoring in Advanced Computing Engineering in India through a scholarship from the government of India. His exceptional skills and creativity are important assets for Ahladang.
Sann Sereyvutha is pursuing Bachelor of Education at the Institute of Foreign Languages (IFL) of the ...Royal University of Phnom Penh and Bachelor of Economics at the RULE. His interest in the field of education and development led him to join Ahladang as a co-founder. Priority this, he actively engaged with various social and educational activities with youth communities as a volunteer. His vision is to see Cambodian students, no matter where they are, get access to equitable educational opportunities. Through his many roles in Ahladang, he wishes to transform his vision into reality and expose himself more deeply into the field of education.
